NICE TO MEET YOU.

My name is Kate Brown and I currently reside in the great state of Michigan. I accidentally ran into the world of photojournalism many years ago and was immediately infatuated with storytelling through imagery.

With a degree in fine art photography from Grand Valley State University, I incorporate the knowledge I’ve learned with my creative and unobtrusive style. My goal is to seek out & capture life's beauty and art, portraying it in my photographs. I have an eye for the quiet moments and a desire to pursue wonder.

When I'm not busy snapping away, you can find me at home with my husband Jon (who is also my second shooter) and our two Siamese cats Olive & Watson. I love adventuring, good coffee, sewing, instant film and anything vintage.

While I focus my time on weddings I do offer lifestyle, seniors, maternity, newborn and boudoir sessions on a limited basis. I don't have a studio because life is better captured in your home or outside!

I'm very laid back but will create a plan with you for your day so you don't have to worry about a thing.
